Tim Verrecchia in LA
Even with the assistance of Google, it’s not easy to sum up what our friend Tim does. The Paris-born, Los Angeles-based surfer has had stints in Paris being a partner in the French cultural magazine Les Inrockuptibles and editor of French fashion magazine L’Officiel Hommes, in New York running his company Verrecchia and Partners with his brother Vass (who co-runs it from Paris), before finally settling on Los Angeles as his homebase when he’s not traveling the globe for clients like Apple, Twitter, Tribeca Film Festival, Saturdays Surf, LVMH, and more. Other notable points on his CV include being a partner for Le Baron in New York, producing the album Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited which featured artists from Franz Ferdinand to Marianne Faithfull, co-founding an indie music record label with Smashing Pumpkins alums, and curating exhibitions and events around the world.
On his last trip to Tokyo, we caught up with the cultural renaissance man and chatted about his favorite spots in the West Coast – mostly in Silver Lake, the L.A. neighborhood home to independent stores and grungy graffiti art.
