Five minutes with Hannah Faith Lord, the lenswoman who captured this latest set of images for DAMDAM. Apart from being a photographer, Hannah is a model and creative director living in Los Angeles. Here, a conversation on set with the creative multi-hyphenate on emotional health and a visual exploration of light, objects, and non-toxic skincare.

What is your favorite thing about creative direction?

Creative freedom is the best part about a lot of my work. I love creating a story in my head and then watching it unfold in front of my camera.

Everyday essentials as seen through the lens of Hannah.

“I love a good face mist! I keep mine in the fridge so when I get up in the morning I drink some cold orange juice and then spritz my face with cold mist to wake myself up!”

Any current projects you’re stoked on?

I am very excited about the launch of my very own collection of sunnies! I shot the lookbook at a dream location – The Sequoia National Forest on these gorgeous rocks that look like marble. It’s a dream and I can’t wait until we launch.

“Emotional health is huge. I’ve been faced with extremely difficult life situations and have seen how much my body is affected by it. Remember to love yourself, speak kind words to yourself, and show love and kindness to others because that’s actually good for your health, too.”

What is your definition of “self-care?”

Putting yourself first, without disregarding other people. Emotional health is huge. I’ve been faced with extremely difficult life situations and have seen how much my body is affected by it. Remember to love yourself, speak kind words to yourself, and show love and kindness to others because that’s actually good for your health, too.
